Most citation styles, including MLA and APA, require that your citations be formatted with a hanging indent.  This means that the first line of the citation is aligned with the left side margin, and each subsequent line is indented.  This can be a time consuming process to set up manually, but luckily there are tools to help you do this faster!  View our Writing/Citing Guide for examples and watch our video to learn more:
